Follow Through Academy ("FTA," "we," "us") operates a coaching platform at followthroughacademy.org where parents and guardians manage their athlete's shooting-form coaching: submitting video clips, receiving breakdowns from their coach, and tracking progress. This policy explains what information we collect through that platform and how it's used. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at derek@followthroughacademy.org.
Follow Through Academy coaches youth athletes, many of whom are under 13. We built the platform so that only a parent or guardian creates and controls the account — athletes do not sign up, log in, or submit information themselves. When a parent registers, they provide their own contact information and set up a player profile for their athlete; any video, photo, or performance information tied to that profile is submitted by the parent, not the child.
If you are a parent or guardian and want to review, correct, or delete the information associated with your athlete's profile, contact us at derek@followthroughacademy.org and we will act on your request.
We collect the following categories of information:
We do not knowingly collect payment card numbers or other financial account details directly — subscription billing, where applicable, is handled outside the platform itself at this time.
We use the information above to: operate and provide the coaching service (matching submitted clips to breakdowns, displaying progress); let a parent and their coach communicate; maintain and secure the platform; and, only where a parent has separately opted in via the consent option at signup, use a clip or photo for coaching-content marketing (for example, an Instagram or YouTube post). That opt-in is optional, can be declined without affecting access to the service, and can be withdrawn at any time by emailing us.
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with the service providers that operate the platform on our behalf:
These providers process data only as needed to deliver the platform and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.
Video clips and coaching breakdowns are stored in access-controlled storage and are only made viewable through short-lived, expiring links generated at the moment they're needed — not through permanently public URLs. Database access is restricted so that a parent can only see their own athlete's records, and only the coach account can see records across all athletes. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but this is the actual technical model in place today.
We retain account, player-profile, clip, and breakdown records for as long as the account remains active, so that a family's coaching history stays available to them. If a parent asks us to delete their account and associated data, we will do so, other than information we're required to retain for legal or accounting reasons.
You can ask to access, correct, or delete the information tied to your account or your athlete's profile at any time by emailing derek@followthroughacademy.org. You can also decline or withdraw the optional marketing-use consent at signup the same way.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify active accounts by email.
