Built Straight

Great shooters aren't lucky — they're straight. Every elite shooter, without exception, repeats the same handful of mechanics on every single shot. Master those and accuracy stops being a mystery. The rule underneath all of it: to be a great shooter, you have to be a straight shooter first.

The Three Constants

What every great shooter does on every single shot.

01

The Grip

The grip and the first 6–8 inches of the shooting motion drastically impact accuracy — more than almost anything else players overlook.

02

Elbow Splits the Rim

The shooting elbow stays on the line to the target and never comes off it. Straight up, straight through, straight to the rim.

03

Cobra Follow Through

The ball releases cleanly off the index and middle fingers with a snapping, downward "cobra" finish — the mark of a repeatable release.

These three constants are the surface. The full mechanics breakdown — side-by-side comparisons, angle measurements, and the training method behind them — is reserved for FTA players and parents inside the platform.
